At Evans Head Physiotherapy, we have three physios to choose between, each bringing different life experiences and history to their work. Leslie, Millie and Jenna work together as a cohesive group, regularly consulting one another regarding client needs. We are all friendly, outgoing people, who have the clients’ very best recovery as our primary aim.

Leslie Wight
Leslie Wight
Established in 1984 by Principal Physiotherapist, Leslie Wight B.Phty, APAM, who had moved to the Northern Rivers in that year.

Leslie’s sporting background is in trampoline (international), gymnastics and dance.
She spent 25 years living and raising her family on a property near Coraki, and now lives in Wardell.

Leslie has a special interest in Chinese Medicine and does Musculoskeletal Acupuncture. She is also interested in the effect of nutrition on chronic pain, and enjoys camping and fishing trips, and cooking Paleo food.

Millie Cooke
Millie Cooke
Millie Cooke M.Sp.Sc, M.S.P.T, APAM, began travelling to Australia from Hawaii in 2008, to relieve Leslie when she went on holidays. She moved permanently from Hawaii to join the practice full-time in 2010.

Her background is in surfing and triathlon in places around the world. She has 30 years experience as an Ultra Endurance athlete and surfer, so is a great physio to consult regarding these sports.

Millie also works from the Evans Head Aquatic Centre, providing personalised gym or pool exercise prescription and sports specific rehab programs. She is a certified strength/conditioning specialist, teaching a lot of strengthening and stretching as a preventative measure against further injury.

Millie is available to do Functional Capacity Evaluations and helping injured workers to return to work with appropriate duties. Millie enjoys cycling, running and surfing, and is passionate about fitness.

Jenna Kennedy
Jenna Kennedy
With the practice expanding, and Leslie suffering a second severe injury, Jenna Kennedy B. Ex.Sci, D. Phty, APAM, moved to Evans Head and joined the team in 2019. She has spent the previous six years in her own practice at Kingscliff, running a busy Physiotherapy & Clinical Pilates practice.

Jenna relocated with her family to Evans Head looking for a quieter lifestyle.
She has a special interest and training in the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, Clinical Pilates, dry needling, tendinopathy, inflammatory conditions and vertigo.

Jenna enjoys seeing people get back to doing the things they love. In her spare time she enjoys surfing and cooking.
